“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
-Romans 8:38-39
Encouraging words! Encouragement is an extremely important part of our fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
Throughout Zach and Caleb’s journey on the road, seeking support and raising awareness about the people’s plight in Zimbabwe, Africa, many people and churches have received them with open arms. With every stop they’ve made and friendship they’ve been blessed to make, there has been no lack of encouragement received.
Zach and Caleb have had the opportunity to speak at two churches during their Sunday morning services, a youth group, and various staff members of other churches. All have been excited about the mission and supportive of this road trip. They have received many encouraging words and prayers, and through this amount of enthusiasm it has helped affirm that they must be on the right track. God has led them on this trip and He continues to provide and keep them safe throughout the travels. We are very thankful for this and how He has led them to these churches.
All of this encouragement is amazing and has helped lift their spirits! The main goal of the road trip when they first set out was to raise funds for the project in Zimbabwe, however the organization’s financial goals have not been met. Everything is in God’s timing, and we have faith that when the time comes to begin the main focus of our mission, the community center, the funds will be available.
However, we are excited to tell you that we are going to Zimbabwe this coming February to start this project. Although, we ask for your prayers that we may raise $30,000 before we leave, as that is the amount that is necessary for us to fully get a self-sustaining center running. We have faith that God will provide and we ask that you too will have faith and pray daily for our needs. We thank God everyday for what He has provided us with already and for the continued support through your prayers. We encourage you to pray in faith, for through God all things are possible!
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
-1 John 5:14
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
-Ephesians 6:18
“Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.”
-James 5:17-18
